Jobs have been created following the £11 million refurbishment of a Leicestershire hotel and conference venue.
The big investment has been made at the four-star, AA accredited Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel, in Burbage.
The changes include new conferencing facilities with a maximum capacity of 1,000 delegates as well as the refurbishment of all 362 bedrooms.
The Juvenate Health and Leisure Club has also been updated as part of the work, with improvements to the fitness suite, pool and relaxation suite and studio areas.

The changes have created 20 new positions, some of which are still available in the reception and bar area. The jobs include sous chef, front office supervisor, and meeting and events sales executive.

Executive general manager Tony Hill said the hotel also now has complimentary 400mb wi-fi for conference organisers, delegates and hotel guests.
He said: “Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel and Conference Venue is now the only major conference hotel in the UK to offer this level of unbeaten download and upload speeds to every event delegate, regardless of how many people are online or the technological specification of any number of events at the same time.”

He said the conference venue had 26 meetings and event suites as well as a purpose built training suite – which is thought to be the first of its kind in the UK – with five training areas, a boardroom, breakout space and a lounge which is available for refreshment breaks, private dining and drinks receptions.

The two largest ground floor conference suites – the London and Paris – how have high spec lighting, audio and increased rig capacity, and are complemented by the Lakeside Suite, which can host 200 delegates and offers views of the lake and countryside.
Mr Hill said the hotel also includes a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, a new piazza lounge and wine bar, a Costa coffee and a Triumph Bar British motorcycle brand, which is made up the road
Mr Hill said: “It’s fantastic that we now have a world class state of the art conference hotel like this in Leicestershire.
“We can now position Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel and Conference Venue ahead and apart from other larger conference and meeting venues and hotels across the region and wider market as a consequence of product quality, flexibility and our hospitality.”
